Modern art, photography and comics: important collections at auction

The Modern Art auction will be held on 15 and 16 July at the Cambi headquarters in Milan,
Contemporary Art, Photography and Comics, over 300 lots
selected with the best of Italian and International figurative art from the beginning of the XNUMXth century to the present day.

It begins on Wednesday 15th with the first round dedicated exclusively to modern art, in which many internationally renowned works will go under the hammer, such as the splendid Unidentified Woman, 1985 by Andy Warhol, with an estimate of €200.000 – €300.000 (image below), the important The Long and the short, signed Richard Lin, (70.000 – 100.000 €) several works with different techniques by Hans Hartung or an important mixed technique and collage on cardboard, Umbrellas-yellow (project Usa- Japan), 1989 by the genius of Land Art Christo, estimated 25.000 – 35.000 € and again Wilfredo Lam, Shusaku Arakawa, Georg Baselitz.

Great space also for the best of XNUMXth century Italian art with artists of the caliber of Emilio Scanavino, Piero Manzoni, Parmeggiani Tancredi, Giacomo Balla, Giorgio de Chirico, Emilio Isgro, Nunzio di Stefano, Turi Simeti, Mario Schifano, Alighiero Boetti, Achille Perilli, Getulio Alviani and many others.

The second round of the Auction begins on the morning of Thursday 16 July with two important collections of contemporary art: a selection from the Borroni collection and a selection from the Stelatelli collection. After that, important works by masters of photography such as Marilyn Minter, Shirin Neshat, Botto & Bruno, Brett Weston, Luigi Ghirri, Berenice Abbott, Peter Beard and a selection of erotic illustrations and comics by authors such as Milo Manara, Pablo Euchaurren, Bill Ward, Georges Pichard and Magnus. In this part of the session, there will also be space for charity, with the collaboration between Ducati and Cambi where the work donated by the artist Jisbar Ducati Mona Lisa, 2020 will be displayed, an acrylic on canvas whose proceeds will be donated to the Polyclinic of Sant'Orsola in Bologna.
