The first person I meet is a young girl named Anna Zullian, born in 1981 in Feltre, degree in Contemporary Art at the University of Parma and a thesis "Video Art in Italy".
Anna immediately begins to cultivate a passion for fashion journalism, but in her there is also the desire to create something of her own, shape the material and transform it into objects to wear, and this is how in 2010 she decides to attend a course on Fashion Design at ESMOD of Berlin, which will allow her a new approach to art, transforming it into an interpretation of her thought capable of transporting memory into "wearable" design.
In addition, out of passion and talent for fashion journalism, in April 2011 she began collaborating and publishing articles in Vogue Italia and Vogue.it. And not surprisingly, the famous journalist, photographer, blogger and talent scout Diane Pernet dedicates a space to her in hers A shaded view on fashion place of excellence for international fashion.
Also in 2011 inspired by memories with her grandmother Irma and a passion for flowers, she created her first "Perle" collection inspired by flower petals. She chooses strong colors such as fuchsia and yellow that blend into the material she uses, Fimo, an easily mouldable and thermosetting synthetic clay, which Anna works with her hands, shaping it with great softness, like a memory muffled by silence. And this is how she creates the first designer jewels, necklaces and other objects to wear.
Then follows a second line "Shell" "total black". She chooses black because she herself claims to be her favorite color, her true expression, that precise color that leaves nothing out and allows her to focus more on herself. The white color was born later but always as an antagonist and is confronted in creativity becoming tubes linked two by two or large pearls that slide into each other.
The experience of the first fashion accessories brings out the true soul in Anna, that of creating larger and more expressive shapes, thus real works are born but to be worn in a moment of performance. They appear like spirals to be placed around the neck, arm or hands, all of them, according to Anna, have the task of protecting the person, like an imaginary protection of thought, person and memory against reality.
All his creations/works see the use of recycled materials, such as iron, rope, leather ribbons, which intertwine with creativity and color.
Anna is a sensitive, reflective girl who is particularly fascinated by the world of fashion that she researches and frequents abroad, but like many young talents, after desperately looking for a road in Italy, she decided to leave with her destination in Paris, where she will surely be able to find new spaces but above all job opportunities.
First Arte – I ask you why of this decision?
Anna Zullian – Today leaving one's country is not an easy choice but absolutely essential to live and to create a future. I have tried many times, not only to enhance my passions in order that they could be a job, but also proposing myself to very normal and worthy of esteem jobs, but I have not found anything. My experience in Berlin has already made me realize that if you invest in what you believe in, you can make it happen. But the world that is closest to me is linked to creativity, design and fashion merged into the same soul and Paris is certainly the place of greatest reference for me to be known and who knows one day… also to be appreciated for my work. I realize that you can't live on creativity alone, nor fantasize about wanting to create artist's jewels only, and that's why I'm committed to following all the fashion events and writing articles, because I'm sure that the passion for writing, one day, it will also help me to realize myself as a designer… now there's only investment. I'm sorry to leave my country, affections and memories, but like many other young people there are no other choices, nor new paths to take.
