The commitment of Art-Rite Auction House to highlight the original comic art, this time in collaboration with the Manzoni's house in Milan.
in rooms of the prestigious Milanese museum institution will in fact be exhibited from 16 to 26 September 2019, twenty-five original plates and illustrations by internationally renowned cartoonists: Andrea Pazienza, Guido Crepax, Emanuele Luzzati and Attilio Micheluzzi, who with their unmistakable features have reworked some of the most famous scenes taken from "The Betrothed". The works therefore represent the peculiar encounter between two literary genres so different from each other, testimony to how much Manzoni's novel has penetrated into mass culture.
The collaboration between the Casa del Manzoni and Art-Rite Auction House is proof of the renewed ferment, including economic, around the original comic strips, finally recognized, also in Italy, as an artistic testimony worthy of collector's value.
The exhibited works will also be included in the catalog of the second auction entirely dedicated to Comic Art, scheduled for Saturday 5 October 2019 at the headquarters of the auction house, in Via Giovanni Ventura 5, at 15 pm.
