Art Basel the most important modern and contemporary art fair announces the exhibitors and first highlights for its exhibition of 2024 in Miami Beach, the first edition under the guidance of director Bridget Finn. Driven for the first time by Bridget Finn, the Art Basel fair in the Americas will host 282 galleries from 34 countries and territories who will present the best of their world-class programs, including 31 first-time attendees, marking the largest cohort of newcomers since the 2008 fair. Reflecting the fair's singular position at the geographical and creative nexus of the North and South America, Art Basel Miami Beach will present historical rediscoveries and bold, contemporary proposals from the Americas' leading galleries and major international exhibitors whose programs address artistic production in the region. Nearly two-thirds of the exhibitors at this year's fair are from the Americas, representing the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Guatemala, Peru and Uruguay – a testament to Art Basel's mission to promote artistic excellence in the region and support discovery and generative collaboration between regional and international art scenes and markets. 31 galleries from the Americas, Europe and Asia will participate for the first time, following Art Basel Miami Beach's introduction of a new entry-level booth option to further support small to medium-sized galleries entering the mainstream sector.
