Also this year, as already happened in the previous year, Giorgio Armani spa has not detached any coupon even if, as emerges from the 2016 financial statements, in October of last year the designer, who totally controls the company (the 0,5% belongs to the Armani Foundation) an extraordinary dividend of 80 million had in any case been distributed. The report on operations also shows that Giorgio Armani spa, like almost all the major fashion companies, has filed an application to join the Patent Box subsidized tax regime, in relation to the 2015 and 2016 financial years: the latest statutory financial statements already included ' its effects with a positive adjustment on taxes paid, equal to 36,2 million, of 8,6 million euros.
As regards the 2016 accounts, if the consolidated profit of the Armani group is equal to 271 million, up by 12,5%, on revenues of 2,5 billion, down by 5%, at statutory level, i.e. ' as for the spa, the data show a slight drop in revenues to 1,676 billion (-1,4%), an Ebitda of approximately 180 million (-38%, a decline explained 'by a reduction in revenues and higher operating costs of 85,8 million') and a net profit of 199,5 million (- 15%). The net financial position, still at spa level, is positive for 774,9 million. The company, with shareholders' equity of 1,65 billion, at the end of 2016 boasted a treasury of 'liquid' funds of 797,8 million, of which 789 million directly deposited in the bank
