Argentina: new agreement on debt

Argentina takes new steps to close the external debt dispute. Buenos Aires has reached a new agreement with five other hedge funds for a total of 250 million dollars and 185 million euros. This was announced in a statement released in the United States by Daniel Pollack, mediator of US judge Thomas Griesa.

Among the five hedge funds are Old Castle and Lightwater, the first to file a joint complaint with Griesa after Argentina's 2002 bankruptcy.
