Argentina, the Italian mission is underway: Sace's 10 rules

The Italian mission in Argentina starts. From Tuesday 17 May to Thursday 19 May, the Undersecretary for Economic Development Ivan Scalfarotto will lead the first entrepreneurial team in Buonos Aires. In total there will be 130 participants: seventy-five companies and industrial associations, five banking groups and 12 universities

The purpose of the mission is to examine the new investment and collaboration opportunities offered by the South American country following the reforms and economic policy recently adopted by President Mauricio Macri.

The mission represents one of the main bilateral economic events after the default experienced by Argentina in 2001.

Taking advantage of this opportunity and in view of the future investment opportunities opened up by the new political-economic scenarios, Sace, an insurance-financial company active in the export credit of the CDP Group, drafted a handbook aimed at businesses containing the 10 golden rules for those who want to do business in Argentina:

1: Monitor promissory note restrictions that limit transactions;

2: Check the evolution of customs authorizations;

3: Verify the sustainability of subsidies over time;

4: Understand distribution systems;

5: Know the local financial system;

6: Discover the areas where it is easier to invest;

7: Protect your investments in a context that is still not very transparent;

8: Discover the tax incentives for your company;

9: Leverage country support to internationalize your business;

10: Promote your business in the country.
