The BoD of Arca Fondi SGR has appointed Giuseppe Lusignani as new Chairman after his appointment as Chairman of Arca Holding on 20 April 2017. Lusignani, 59, after graduating in Economics from the University of Modena, continued his studies in Finance at New York University and holds a PhD in Capital Markets and Financial Management. Since 2000 you have taught Economics and Techniques of Financial Markets and Economics of Financial Intermediaries at the University of Bologna. Lusignani is the author of numerous publications relating to financial markets, bank management and risk management issues. He has collaborated with the Bank of Italy, Consob and the Competition and Market Authority, Assogestioni and the Italian Banking Association.
The BoD sincerely thanks Professor Guido Cammarano for his 9-year presidency and the results achieved in the period when the total assets managed by Arca went from 18,3 billion in 2008 to the current 30,8 billion, completing a profound reorganization that allowed the Company to have the best balance sheet in history in 2016. The 1st quarter of 2017 closed for Arca Fondi SGR with net inflows from partner banks of over 910 million between collective investment undertakings and open pension funds. Arca Economia Reale Bilanciato Italia 30 PIR had net inflows of more than 200 million, confirming Arca's leadership in the PIR segment.
Since May 2 it is the PIR share of Arca Economia Reale Equity Italia was also placed the fund launched in April 2015, with an absolute performance since launch of +31,7% (+11,8% against the benchmark) among the absolute best in its segment and with assets of 167,0 million of which about 50% institutional investors. On 12 June 2017, Arca's PIR offer will be completed with the launch of the second balanced fund Arca Economia Reale Bilanciato Italia 55 PIR and with the PIR share of the historic Arca Azioni Italia fund with already 540 million in assets.
