Financial Banking Arbitrator: today the 2017 Report at Sapienza

The annual report on the activity carried out in 2017 by theBanking Financial Arbitrator (ABF) which, thanks to the support of the Bank of Italy, is experiencing - with over 30 appeals a year - growing success as an out-of-court solution for settling disputes between banks and customers.

Once again in 2017, disputes related to salary or pension assignments were the main focus. Compared to recourse to ordinary justice, the Financial Banking Arbitrator guarantees faster, simpler and cheaper solutions.

After the welcome address by Professor Enrico del Prato, Director of the Juridical Sciences Department of La Sapienza University, and after the introduction by Professor Giuliana Scognamiglio, professor of the same University, the Report on the 2017 activity of the ABF will be carried out by Magda Bianco and Margherita Cartechini of the Bank of Italy.

A multi-voice round table will follow, coordinated by the Director of FIRSTonline Franco Locatelli, which will be attended by Silvia Castronovi (Altroconsumo), Filippo Cucuccio (National Association for the Study of Credit Problems, ANSPC), Raffaele Di Raimo (University of Salento and member of the Arbitrator for Financial Disputes), Umberto Filotto (Tor Vergata University and Assofin General Secretary), Marcello Maggiolo (University of Padua) and Alberto Franco Pozzolo (University of Molise and member of the ABF College of Rome).

The annual presentation of the 2017 activity, which will begin at 17 pm, will be concluded by the Deputy General Manager of the Banca d'Itlia, Luigi Federico Signorini.
