The nomination season continues. Paul Ciocca is the new president of Open Fiber, the optical fiber network company controlled by CDP. He was appointed by the board of directors who co-opted him to the board of directors after the resignation of Barbara Marinali.
The board - specifies the Open Fiber note - wanted to express heartfelt thanks to Dr. Marinali for the significant commitment made during her presidency in Open Fiber and for the precious contribution provided in carrying forward the company's ambitious project to digitization of the country, while at the same time wishing her all the best for the continuation of her activities".
Paolo Ciocca was Consob Commissioner from 12 February 2018 to 31 March 2023. Previously he held the position of Deputy Director General of the Security Information Department (DIS) of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. From 2002 to 2007 he held important roles at the Mef, where he was also director general of Finance. His curriculum includes a long experience at ISVAP and the Bank of Italy as well as positions at the UN and the OECD.
