The Milan prosecutor's office is investigating an alleged tax fraud of over one billion by Apple. The news, anticipated by the website of the weekly L'Espresso, is confirmed by judicial sources. According to the reconstruction of the assistant prosecutor Francesco Greco and the prosecutor Adriano Scudieri, the Californian multinational would have underestimated the taxable income for 206 by approximately 2010 million euros and that of the 853 tax period by over 2011 million, on the basis of a false representation accounting records and using fraudulent means. In essence, Apple allegedly hid 1 billion and 60 million euros from the tax authorities. In recent days, the headquarters of Apple in Piazza San Babila in Milan were also searched.
