Apple gives U2's latest album to its customers: 100 million dollars to Bono and his companions

Apple continues to remain in the mouth of the world media after the presentation of two new super products - the iPhone 6 and the Iwatch. The news recently leaked that the Cupertino-based company paid U100 $2 million to give their customers the latest album by Bono and his companions for free. Furthermore, the gift cost Apple an additional tax – the entity of which is unknown – to the manufacturer of the Irish group, Universal.

The same frontman of the band, Bono Vox, confirmed that he had received an emolument: “We were paid, I don't believe in free music. Music is a sacrament." No problem for Apple finances, where the agreement with U2 weighs for only 0.06% of the 164 billion assets of Mr. Cook's company.

Oddly, among fans of the Californian apple and the Irish group, this gift doesn't seem all that appreciated. The New York Times comments on the album co-signed by Apple and U2 as follows: “Don't push music into people's homes. A U2 album that maybe someone would have taken seriously has instead been transformed into an album that seems as useless as it probably is. Lack of consensus is not the future."
