The day of iOS 9 has arrived. Apple's new operating system is ready to revolutionize iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The restyling performed by Cupertino this time will be total. Many news that will come with the new software: iPad increasingly multitasking, Apple news, more powerful Siri, maps connected to public transport.

The update will arrive this afternoon, along with the WatchOS2 update for the Apple Watch.

But let's go into the details of the most important news. The first undoubtedly concerns the new functions multitasking for the ipad. Through "Slide Over" users will be able to work simultaneously on two applications without leaving the first, while with "Picture-in-Picture" you can make phone or video calls with FaceTime and use other apps.

iOS 9 marks the debut of a new app. It will be called apple news and will allow users to receive news in an ad hoc format thanks to Cupertino's close collaboration with over 50 publishers. Siri also changes which thanks to "Proactive" will show Apple device owners information "relevant to their habits".

For the maps, they will incorporate public transport systems and timetables.

Other innovations will concern Notes, battery (with the low consumption mode that will extend its duration) and the Contacts app, which will be able to provide information on who is calling us even if the number is not saved in the address book.
