Apple fever begins to show the first symptoms. In just one day pre-orders ofiPhone 5 have already reached 2 million units. That's more than double the record of one million of the previous model, the 4S. Meanwhile, the first rows have already formed in front of the Apple Store on New York's Fifth Avenue, with Apple aficionados camped out, waiting for the sales of Apple's new jewel to officially open on Friday 21 September. But Cupertino has put its hands forward: given that the demand for the iPhone 5 has exceeded the initial offer, some pre-orders will be delivered in October. 

On Wall Street the Apple stock is already gaining 0,98% to $698,08 to action. 

The iPhone is the flagship product of the Cupertino company and accounts for about two-thirds of profits. Since Apple launched into the smartphone world in 2007, it has sold 244 million iPhones and helped the company become the world's most valuable company.
