“Art has made an enormous contribution to Apple since he joined the board in 2000 – commented Tim Cook, Apple's CEO -. He was the longest serving co-lead director and his insight and leadership are incredibly important to Apple, our employees and our shareholders.”

Levinson also holds leadership roles within Amyris, NGM Biopharmaceuticals and the Broad Institutes of MIT and Harvard. Iger instead had an important role in the acquisition of Pixar (2006) and Marvel (2009) on behalf of Walt Disney.
