Apple: Angela Ahrendts, the new manager of 68 million dollars

Apple welcomes Angela Ahrendts who from this week will manage 423 mega-stores and will be responsible for web sales. For her entry into the company, the 53-year-old American will receive 113 shares which are equivalent to approximately 68 million euros. “Angela shares our values and our focus on innovation, and she puts the same focus on customers as we do,” said Tim Cook, Apple's chief executive.

Born in 1961 in Indiana, Ahrebdts was already the highest paid woman in London: managing director of Burberry for eight
years, the new manager of the iPhone manufacturer received 17 million pounds (20 million euros) a year, an incentive more than deserved since it got the fashion house off the ground by tripling its turnover and revitalizing a brand that seemed to have exhausted its charm.

At Apple, he is expected to achieve similar results, in particular by using his marketing and fashion savvy to popularize “wearable technologies,” such as Apple Glass and watches, turning them into fashion accessories.

Angela Ahrendts will receive the shares over the next four years and only when certain targets are met
meanwhile, the first tranche, just under 10 million dollars, will mature in June.

Perfect timing for the American manager: in these days Apple has exceeded the threshold of 600 dollars per share for the first time since the end of October 2012, driven by the accounts of the last quarter.
