Notai in the crosshairs of the Antitrust. The Authority has launched an investigation against the Council of Notaries of the districts of Rome, Velletri and Civitavecchia and the Roman Notary Association of Real Estate Disposals (Asnodim), suspected of having implemented an agreement restricting competition.

The proceeding concerns an agreement that the two parties would have entered into to divide up the notarial services and fix the relative prices in the context of the processes for the disposal of public real estate assets.

"To acquire useful elements for ascertaining the agreement - reads the Antitrust note -, the officials of the Competition and Market Guarantor Authority have carried out inspections in recent days at the offices of the Notary Council and of Asnodim, with the assistance of the Special Antitrust Unit of the Guardia di Finanza”.
