Ferrovie dello Stato is guilty of abuse of a dominant position and will have to pay a fine of 300 euros. It was established byAntitrust, which in a press release underlines how the company, "through its subsidiaries Rfi and Trenitalia, has implemented a complex and unitary strategy aimed at hindering and, in fact, preventing the entry of the company Arenaways into the passenger rail transport market" .

The Authority therefore cautioned the group "from implementing similar behaviors in the future, which jeopardize any attempt to open up the market".

The Board, "taking into account the novelty of the regulatory framework within which the former monopolist has implemented the behaviors themselves - continues the Authority -, has decided to impose fines on the group for a total of 300 thousand euros".
