The Antitrust has established that, starting today, the thresholds beyond which it becomes mandatory will be raised prior communication of concentration operations. The limit on the turnover achieved at national level by all the companies involved in the operation rises from 474 to 482 million, while that of the company whose acquisition is planned goes from 47 to 48 million.

The Authority explains that “the increase in the value of the thresholds corresponds, as envisaged by art. 16 of the law n. 287/90, to the increase in the index of the price deflator of the gross domestic product, equal, as shown by the data published by Istat, for 2012, to 1,61%”.

From 2013 January 1, moreover, "following the change introduced by decree-law 2012/XNUMX - continues the note -, the obligation to notify only applies to concentrations in which cross both thresholds".
