AnsaldoBreda wins the tender for the Miami Metro

ANSALDOBREDA won a tender worth approximately $300 million for the supply of 136 new carriages from the Metro Miami, operated by Metrorail.

The supply - explains the subsidiary of Fineccanica in a note - involves the construction of six "pilot" vehicles and 130 standard carriages. Components for the new trains will be built at AnsaldoBreda's Italian manufacturing sites, then assembled at a new facility the company will build in Miami-Dade County.

“This further success of AnsaldoBreda – commented the managing director, Maurizio Manfellotto – demonstrates how our global repositioning program is bearing the expected results. We are increasingly able to present innovative products in terms of technology and quality, maintaining a high level of competitiveness. To win this tender, we won the qualified competition of French and Spanish companies on a market, such as the American one, in which we are historically present".
