The CEO of Ansaldo Nucleare, the 54-year-old Roberto Adinolfi, was shot in the legs this morning in Genoa. The ambush, according to what was reported by the carabinieri who are investigating the incident, took place at half past eight in via Montello, in the Marassi district, right in front of the manager's house.

Adinolfi was approached by two men aboard a scooter, with their faces covered by full-face helmets. One of them fired, hitting the manager in the knee. Still no claims. Adinolfi, transferred to the San Martino hospital, however, is not in danger of life.

"These are things that can't be commented on," said Labor Minister Elsa Fornero, on the sidelines of a conference on apprenticeship organized by the Piedmont Region.

Meanwhile, it is yellow on the motive of the ambush. Ansaldo Nucleare is a company of Ansaldo Energia and part of the Finmeccanica group. The 2011 budget closed with the accounts in profit, with no problems of recession or layoffs in sight. But just today in the Ligurian capital a budget meeting was scheduled for the Ansaldo Sts business branch.
