Ansaldo Energia, Siemens denies binding offer: "Interested only in turbines"

A source close to the German company, according to Reuters reports, denied the rumors of a binding proposal for Ansaldo Energia - "They affect the order book of gas activities, but in terms of technology, Siemens has nothing to learn".

Siemens denies the rumors, reported by Il Sole 24 Ore, of a binding offer of 1,3 billion presented for Ansaldo Energia, specifying that it is interested only in the gas and steam turbines of the Finmeccanica subsidiary.

A source close to the German conglomerate, in fact, told Reuters the following: “The order book of Ansaldo's gas businesses are quite interesting. In terms of technology, however, there is nothing that Siemens can learn from them”. The Korean company Doosan Hevy Industries & Construction Co Ltd and Samsung are also participating in the race for the purchase of the Italian company, which is becoming increasingly intricate.
