Ansaldo Energia obtained a loan of 50 million euro from the European Investment Bank and secured by a guarantee from Cassa Depositi e Prestiti for 25 million euro. The credit has a duration of seven years and will allow the company to support the main research and development projects at the Genoa production site aimed at perfecting gas turbine, steam turbine and alternator technologies.
In particular, for gas turbines, the projects are aimed at expanding the range of usable fuels and at consolidating and developing innovative technologies and solutions in the field of materials, special processes for hot parts, combustion, emission containment and heat exchange.
The operation has a strong strategic value and makes it possible to complete the process begun in 2015 for the complete restructuring of the company's debt structure. The operation was originated and structured with the contribution of Mittel Advisory Debt and Grant Spa.
