Ansaldo Energia, contracts for 240 million in Egypt

The new orders concern the conversion of two power plants

 Ansaldo Energia has been awarded three contracts in Egypt for a total value of over 240 million euro. The company communicates it.

The first two contracts, Al Shabab and West Damietta, concern the conversion to combined cycle of the two plants, belonging to Egyptian Electricity Holding, the Egyptian government electricity body, which manages over 90% of the country's energy production.

Ansaldo Energia's shareholding includes the Italian Strategic Fund at 44,8% and the Chinese of Shanghai Electric Corporation at 40%. The former controlling shareholder Finmeccanica still holds 15%, a share which it has already decided to sell in the second half of 2017.
