Ansaldo Breda towards deconsolidation from Finmeccanica, Moretti: "We focus on the core business"

Finmeccanica CEO Mario Moretti answers journalists' questions at the Farnborough aerospace show on deconsolidation from the group of companies such as Ansaldo Breda. Binding offers will be requested by the end of July, which will then be evaluated in September and in October there will be a decision on the company's future. Towards divestments also Fata.

During the Farnborough aerospace show, the CEO of Finmeccanica Mario Moretti, questioned by journalists on the future of companies such as Ansaldo and Fata, made known the group's intentions. Everything that is not part of the core business is under consideration for a possible sale. As regards Ansaldo, binding offers will be requested by the end of July by the end of July, which will then be examined in September, while the decision on the company's future is postponed to October. In the words of the CEO, Fata has nothing to do with Finmeccanica, therefore a possible sale of it seems closer.

Following the declarations of the number one of Finmeccanica, the quotations of the group - as well as those of Ansaldo - soar in the price lists. If the gain of Moretti's group stands at 0%, the leap of Ansaldo shares is instead more consistent with a +69%. Moretti's words are therefore cautious, who having taken his time for the final decision, in the meantime makes the titles gain and rise.
