Golden year for Klopman, leading PMI in workwear fabrics

The 2016 turnover grew to 130 million (+8,3%). Production also rose by 4,5%. 95% of turnover achieved abroad: Germany first market, Italy in fifth place

In the Italian SMEs that enrich Made in Italy, we note Klopman, the Lazio company, European leader in fabrics for workwear, which closed the 2016 fiscal year, with a turnover exceeding 130 million euros, up by 8,3 .40% over the previous year. Production rose with around 4,5 million meters produced, up 2015% on 95. XNUMX% of turnover is generated abroad.

Particularly significant was the growth of KAI, the joint venture created in Indonesia to cover the Asian market, whose turnover increased from 1,5 million in 2014 to 6 today. The first market for Klopman is Germany which has purchased over 10 million meters of fabric, (up 7,8% compared to the previous year) followed by France (over 6 million, +0,5%) and Morocco (almost 3 million, +5,7%). Italy is in fifth place with 2,5 million meters of fabric purchased and has grown by 4% in the last year.

Driving Klopman's growth are protective fabrics which grow by 11% reaching 4 million meters produced for a turnover of approximately 23 million. Significant performance in fire-retardant fabrics.

 The company has a 15 million euro investment plan ready over 5 years which will also involve the Frosinone plant.
