Andrea Guerra heads for Eataly

Andrea Guerra will be the new CEO of Eataly. Il Fatto Quotidiano anticipates it. The former CEO of Luxottica, currently a strategic adviser for government industry, strongly desired by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, will therefore take over the leadership of the excellent food distribution chain founded by Oscar Farinetti, another leading figure in Italian industry close to the premier. Guerra would have already accepted Farinetti's proposal, it would now be just a question of making it official.

Guerra, who had been talked about in recent weeks as a possible candidate for mayor of Milan, has already signed the contract with Eataly. His main tasks will be to guide the transition from Oscar Farinetti, who announced his farewell to the presidency of the company, to his children and the landing on the Stock Exchange of the company, which will quote 33% of its capital. Furthermore, Guerra will be able to favor the expansion of Eataly on the Asian markets.
