Andrea Guerra (ex Luxottica) new foreign minister if Mogherini becomes Mrs Pesc

The outgoing CEO of Luxottica will most likely be the new foreign minister of the Renzi government if on Saturday the current owner of the Farnesina, Federica Mogherini, is nominated by EU leaders as the new Mrs Pesc, i.e. High Representative for Foreign Policy and security of Europe. The German vetoes on Mogherini, initially considered too close to Russia, seem to have disappeared, according to what the Finalcial Times also reported this morning, and the doors of the high European office would be open for her.

If this were the case, it would be a double victory for Prime Minister Matteo Renzi: both in Europe with the name of Mogherini, which until a few weeks ago seemed impossible to the point that President Juncker had asked Italy for a change of candidate, and in our country where he would be able to bring into the government a manager he highly esteemed, like Andrea Guerra. Renzi had already offered him a ministerial seat at the time of forming his executive, thereby making the owner of Luxottica, Del Vecchio, suspicious, who in fact discouraged him in recent days. Now the cards can turn over.
