Even Indonesian Renzi is against blue cars

Even Indonesian Renzi is against blue cars

He was elected President but is not yet in office. Joko Widodo, known in Indonesia as Jokowi, will be sworn in on October 24. But already the popular style, if not populist, which made him prefer the politicians of the old guard, is already beginning to shine through from his first public documents. Hearing that the State Secretariat had ordered a fleet of Mercedes for the president, vice president and various ministers, he said the old cars are still good and the new ones shouldn't be used.

So he told reporters in his governor's residence in Jakarta (the capital of Indonesia). He added that he wants his collaborators to act frugally and efficiently when using the benefits of the position, and to use the official cars when they are still in good condition. Unfortunately, he added, the purchase has already been made, but he doesn't intend to use the new ones. Who knows, as Renzi has already done, he could sell them at auction…
