The Milanese derby in mid-October between Inter and Milan will decide the fate of the Rossoneri bench but for now, Carlo Ancelotti is no longer behind Montella. Speaking yesterday at a charity event for children in Jerusalem, the former Bayern Munich coach was categorical: “Enough football for this year. Now we have fun for a few months and in July we start again with the usual enthusiasm”.
It remains to be seen whether Ancelotti will return to Italy or not from next summer and whether or not he will return to Milan, but another great coach who could return home is also Antonio Conte, the trainer of the English champions Chelsea who is always in contact more buttery with the company of the Russian tycoon Abramovic. It is unlikely that Conte, who in recent days has confessed that he misses Italy, will remain on the blues bench again next year: the Milan bench could also be a reminder for him.
