Anac and Unioncamere allied in the fight against corruption

Common front between Anac and the chamber system for the fight against corruption and for legality. This is sanctioned by the new pact between the National Anti-Corruption Authority and Unioncamere, contained in the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two presidents, Raffaele Cantone and Ivan Lo Bello.

In particular, Unioncamere undertakes, also making use of the skills of the Anac and making the most of the experiences gained in the Chambers of commerce, to guarantee the maximum dissemination within the chamber system and in the business world of the culture of legality, public ethics and transparency, also through the implementation of training initiatives, the organization of studies and research projects, meetings, conferences and seminars.

Fundamental nucleus of the alliance between Anac and the chamber system is the pooling and integration, also through the interoperability of information systems, data and information from the assets of the Business Register and the public administration, with the aim of favor processes of simplification and reduction of administrative burdens and to ensure effectiveness, transparency and control of public spending.

Digital tools will be useful for this purpose, starting with those contained in the Business Register, to allow the maximum dissemination of information on the legal, economic and financial structures of companies. An important chapter of the agreement also concerns the experimentation of a system of analysis of the external context for the purposes of the activities carried out by the administrations in the matter of assessing the risk of corruption, also through the identification of risk indicators.

The agreement, with a duration of three years, is conceived as a framework agreement, which governs the relationship between the parties and which may also be expanded through further operational agreements. It expands the boundaries of a long-standing collaboration. The text of the Memorandum of Understanding is available on the Unioncamere website.
