Environment, Clini and Benetton sign an agreement to reduce CO2 emissions

Environment, Clini and Benetton sign an agreement to reduce CO2 emissions

Corrado Clini, Minister of the Environment, and the president of Benetton Group, Alessandro Benetton, will sign an agreement, at the Benetton Group headquarters, aimed at analyzing, reducing and neutralizing the impact on the environment of the textile sector and the production chain of fashion.

The project is aimed at the analysis and accounting of CO2 emissions related to the production activities of the plant in Tunisia.

All possible measures to reduce and neutralize the environmental footprint will be evaluated, involving the use of machines that will produce carbon neutral items.

This agreement signed with Benetton Group is one of the first of about seventy companies that the Ministry of the Environment will sign to keep "greenhouse gas" emissions under control, including: Telecom Italia, Pirelli, Gucci, Coop, Acque San Benedetto , L'Oreal, Illycaffé, Unicredit, Bancia and Antinori, as well as Benetton.
