Amazon launches the challenge to Spotify in Italy with "Music Unlimited", a paid on-demand music service "which puts a catalog of over 50 million songs, hundreds of playlists and personalized radio stations in the hands of customers". The cost is in line with competitors.
“We have been thrilled with customer reaction to the launch of Amazon Music Unlimited in the US, UK and Germany,” said Steve Boom, Vice President of Amazon Music. “We are excited to make the service available to customers in Italy, France and Spain.” . The subscription costs 9,9 euros per month, the annual one 100 euros, 30-day free trial.
Customers enrolled in Amazon Music Unlimited can choose songs and albums or rely on personalized recommendations. Also available are personalized and “ad-free” radios based on different genres or times of day, from working out to relaxing.
Users of the paid service will then be able to download songs, albums and playlists from the Amazon Music Unlimited catalog onto their devices "to listen to them offline on planes, trains and wherever they are without an internet connection".
The Amazon Music app is available for Fire, iOS, Android, Web, PC, and Mac devices.
