Amazon hires 1.400 people for 2 new centers in Italy

The e-commerce giant opens two new centers in the provinces of Rovigo and Rome - 140 million investment - Here are the open positions and how to apply

Amazon returns to invest in Italy and announces the opening of two new distribution centers for which it will need employees: 1.400 expected recruitments. The two factories will already be operational by the end of 2020 and will require an investment of 140 million euros from the global e-commerce giant.

Two sites have been identified: the first will be in the municipality of Castel Guglielmo and San Bellino, 25 km from Rovigo. The second will instead be found at Colleferro, in the metropolitan city of Rome.

«We are proud and excited to expand our business with two new distribution centers in the Veneto and Lazio regions», commented the vice president of Amazon Operations in Europe, Roy Perticucci, recalling that this year Jeff Bezos' company celebrates its tenth anniversary in Italy.

But let's move on to jobs. Amazon announced the creation of “1.400 permanent jobs within three years of opening, which will add to the 6.900 employees currently employed by Amazon in Italy".

In detail, 900 employees will be needed for the center of Castelguglielmo and San Bellino, 500 for the second warehouse in Colleferro.

Recruitments, we emphasize, will be carried out by 2023, but applications are already open.

For the Castelguglielmo site, Amazon is looking for managers, technicians, IT specialists, engineers, Human Resources specialists and so on. To apply you will need to go to the Amazon Job website, on the page dedicated to the center of Castelguglielmo and San Bellino and follow the procedure indicated.

Positions and mechanism similar for lo too Colleferro plant.

In the summer, however, the selections for warehouse operators will begin for whom a classification at the fifth level of the Logistics and Transport CCNL is envisaged.
