Amazon is increasingly focusing on the Italian market. Sorting centers are proliferating, especially in Northern Italy, and the American giant is ready in the coming months to bring the total number of its employees in Italy to 12.500, with the addition of another 3.000 permanent jobs by 2021. The range of new opportunities ranges from logistics to machine learning and involves over 50 Italian offices. The first area includes the giant's "Plan Italy" which claims to create growth opportunities for the Italian economy with an investment of over 350 million euros in three new centers in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and Piedmont, which will open in the autumn .

During the year, in fact, two distribution centers will be opened, respectively in Novara and Cividate al Piano, in the province of Bergamo, a sorting center in Spilamberto, in Modena as well as 11 sorting depots in Piedmont, Trentino-AltoAdige, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Umbria and Marche. Amazon also recently unveiled the European Innovation Lab in Vercelli, designed to develop and implement new technologies to further enhance the safety of its employees and constantly improve their work experience. “The growth of digital is an opportunity for the country to restart and we want to make our contribution,” explains Mariangela Marseglia, country manager of Amazon.it and Amazon.es.

On July 20th I will make this trip with my brother. The greatest adventure, with my best friend,” wrote the billionaire in an Instagram post.
