The e-commerce giant focuses on Italy and announces new hires in the next three years.

After the pre-Christmas controversies, Amazon decides to go ahead on its way, announcing that in the next three years it will create 1.600 jobs in our country.

There are two reference hubs in which the new staff will flow: the first in Turin, the second in Bergamo.
The Italian hirings are part of an investment plan through which Amazon intends to strengthen its presence in Italy, while simultaneously satisfying consumer demand which is experiencing record growth.

Going into detail, the group led by Jeff Bezos will open a new distribution center in Torrazza Piemonte (Turin) with an investment of 150 million euros disbursed for the purpose of building a technologically advanced structure. It will be here that most of the new staff will converge: expected 1.200 new jobs within three years of launch.

At the same time, the opening of a new center was established Casirate (Bergamo) which, in turn, will guarantee the rest 400 new hires, to be carried out in the next three years. It is expected to open in the fall of 2018-.

“2018 marks the eighth anniversary of Amazon's creation of the first jobs in Italy,” said Fred Pattje, Amazon Operations Director for Spain and Italy, referring to his debut in 2010 with the first logistics center in Castel San Giovanni, in Milan, which took place in 2011.
