The French government "was listened to" on the Alstom dossier and no definitive decision has been made on an agreement with General Electric. This was stated by the French prime minister, Manuel Valls, welcoming the fact that there are no "exclusive negotiations" with the American group. "The strong acceleration in recent days was not acceptable - he specified - and we had made it known, through the voices of the President of the Republic and the Ministry of Economy, Arnaud Montebourg, to the actors who did not take a definitive decision yesterday evening" Valls specified.
“No exclusive negotiations with GE have been decided by Alstom which – he added – has one month to analyze the different options and consult with us”. This morning the president and CEO of Alstom, Patrick Kron said that "the state will have the opportunity to have its say" in this matter.
