Alstom, from Warsaw order for 20 Pendolinos

The contract, worth 665 million, was signed with the Polish operator Pkp Intercity – Delivery of the first trains scheduled for 2014 – The order also includes maintenance for 17 years.

A 665 million euro contract for the supply of twenty high-speed trains, rigorously made in Italy. The French giant Alstom, with a strong production presence in our country, was awarded the prize. The order comes from Pkp Intercity, a company responsible for long-distance passenger transport in Poland.

This is the New Pendolino model. The trains will all be built in Italy, in the Alstom plants of Savigliano (in the province of Cuneo) and Sesto San Giovanni (Milan). Delivery of the first trains is scheduled for 2014. The contract also provides for their maintenance for 17 years and the construction of an on-site depot to be used for this purpose.
