The Alphabet group, thanks above all to Google, dominates the sectors of online research, video content sharing, online advertising, mobile operating systems and the use of web navigators.

Most of the profits come from online advertising through revenue from Google. In 2017 alone, they reached over $95 billion or 86% of Alphabet's total business volume. This objective is achieved through the Adwords, Adsense, YouTube channels and on its Android operating system. Google Search is the most used search engine in the world to find information online. It holds about 76% of the world market, with over 92% for the mobile sector. The Android operating system is a strong point of Alphabet. It is installed on most of the devices of the big mobile phone brands and holds about 74% of the smartphone market share in the world.

Among Alphabet's partners we find the pharmaceutical group Sanofi. This partnership was born in 2016 with the aim of creating connected objects in the field of diabetes treatment. Another partner is Chrysler with whom it has created a strategy for its activities in the autonomous vehicle sector.

Alphabet has always been active in the development of future technologies. He had begun working on the innovations of the future by developing a new operating system called Android Things in 2015. However, the project did not take off and will close its doors in January 2022. Google shares have grown in recent years and then collapsed at the beginning of the pandemic (March 2020). The stock subsequently came back strong, surpassing $2200 per share in April 2021.
