Allianz Capital Partners has announced that it has exceeded the threshold of two billion euros invested in renewable energies. Since 2005, Allianz has in fact financed the installation of 47 wind farms and 7 solar parks in Germany, France, Italy and Sweden. The plants are capable of producing a total of 1.200 megawatts of electricity, enough to satisfy a city like Lyon (about half a million inhabitants).
David Jones, Head of Renewable Energy at Allianz Capital Partners commented: “Having exceeded two billion euros of equity investment in renewable energy is a milestone and consolidates Allianz's position among the world's leading companies as investors into sustainability".
