Allianz: 2014 accounts ok, but the coupon disappoints expectations

Allianz archives 2014 with a turnover that for the first time exceeds the threshold of 120 billion euros, but the dividend proposed by the Board of Directors disappoints market expectations. 

In detail, i revenues they increased by 10,4%, to 122,25 billion euros, from 110,77 billion the previous year. Operating income, on the other hand, rose by 3,3% to 10,40 billion, while profit attributable to shareholders increased by 3,8% to 6,22 billion, against the 6,38 billion expected on average by analysts. 

The increase of the dividend is equal to 29%, at 6,85 euro per share, lower than the 7 euro expected. As for the number of customers, it grew by 2 million to 85 million.

“The revision of the dividend policy reflects our successful efforts to prepare Allianz for the future – said Michael Diekmann, number one of the group – We expect the economic scenario to remain difficult in 2015. The operating profit forecast is equal to 10,4, 400 billion, with XNUMX million more or less”.
