Cheerful in Milan, sad in Rome

Down with Allegri, long live Allegri. The Tuscan coach will sit on the Milan bench again next year, but without any contract extension.

Thus ends the most followed telenovela in these weeks of the Italian transfer market. In the end Silvio Berlusconi convinced himself, to the delight of the Rossoneri fans, of Galliani and of the coach himself. On the other hand, disappointment at Roma, who hoped for a split at Milanello to start the re-foundation of the team right from Allegri.

After Zeman's disastrous cure and Andreazzoli's dramatic substitute, which culminated in the searing defeat against Lazio in the Italian Cup final, the Giallorossi must therefore start looking around again to find a new helmsman.

Laurent Blanc is back in pole position, followed by Bielsa and Mancini, who however don't seem very convinced. Rijkaard's name is also mentioned, but the Dutch coach's agent denies it.

Nor can it be excluded that in the end Trigoria decides to go all out by betting on the former full-back Panucci. In any case, someone who is content to be a third choice will be needed, after the failed deals with Mazzarri and Allegri.
