Unindustria alarm: 1164 industries in Lazio went bankrupt

Unindustria raises the alarm about the crisis in the manufacturing sector in Lazio and asks politics for a "new pact of confidence" to relaunch investments. “In the last five years – said the president Maurizio Stirpe in his report to the annual meeting – more than 7.100 businesses in Lazio have gone bankrupt and the negative trend seems to continue. Since the beginning of the year, 1.164 cases of default have been detected, 11% of Italian corporate crises.

Since 2008, manufacturing industries have shrunk by a quarter while service companies have grown by 13%”. According to Stirpe, "in order to create new jobs, the business system needs a precise framework of economic and industrial policy, consistent with the 1000-day agenda that the Government has prepared".
