Summer is ending. Or at least, already in the next few hours and throughout the weekend, it will undergo a sharp downsizing, much more substantial and more extensive than the wave of bad weather on August XNUMXth, which did not affect all regions and did not lead to such a significant drop. This time, however, it is the whole peninsula, including the islands, that is on yellow level pre-alert: everywhere, excluding the province of Rome and Salento, heavy rainfall is expected in the next few days, even with snowfall in the mountains up to 1.800 meters, and a general drop in temperatures, even by 10-15 degrees depending on the area. We start from the southern regions, already affected by bad weather in these hours and where the alert will remain higher (particularly in Sicily and Calabria, with orange and red alert levels, i.e. phenomena of moderate and/or strong intensity), then on the weekend una perturbation coming from Northern Europe it will raid our country and bring bad weather everywhere, with particular intensity on the Veneto and the North-East.
The first rains in the North are expected on Friday evening, but Saturday is particularly unstable, with frequent thunderstorms, also accompanied by hail, first on the northern regions and then gradually also on part of the Centre. The regions most at risk, in addition to the North-East, are Lombardy and Marche. A storm is also expected in Milan in the evening hours, with both minimum and maximum temperatures dropping by 8-10 degrees the next day. In the night between Saturday and Sunday it could also snow in the Alps (especially in South Tyrol and in the Belluno area), while on Sunday the sun will return to the North, with the bad weather moving towards the Center-South, especially on the eastern side. Also in this case the probability of violent phenomena will be high, in particular on the coastal areas between Emilia Romagna and Marche, as well as on those of Abruzzo and Molise. Gradually between Sunday and Monday the sun will return almost everywhere, but the perturbation will bring a nice general refresh: Sunday and Monday the highs will be below 30 degrees everywhere, even below the average for the period. In Milan the degrees will be 26, in Rome and Naples 29, in Turin 25, in Bologna 26, in Florence 27, in Ancona even 24 and from North to South the minimums will be well below 20 degrees: in Trieste 13, in Bolzano 8 It's already time to put the covers back on.
