Alarm from the Quirinal. Napolitano: concern and doubts about the majority

Alarm from Giorgio Napolitano for what happened yesterday in Montecitorio. In an official note, the President of the Republic underlines how "disapproval, by the Chamber, of article 1 of the General Report on the Administration of the State, and, in recent times, the undeniable manifestation of acute tensions within the government and the coalition, with the consequent uncertainties in the adoption of decisions due or announced, arouse questions and concerns whose institutional reflections they cannot escape."

According to the Head of State, at this point “the question that arises is whether the majority of government reassembled last June with the contribution of a new group is able to operate with the constant cohesion necessary to guarantee essential obligations such as the set of budgetary decisions and adequate solutions for the country's most urgent problems, also in relation to European commitments and obligations. A credible response belongs to the subjects who are constitutionally responsible for it, the Prime Minister and the Parliament".
