Heat alarm, week of fire and Coldiretti speaks of natural clama

The heat alarm does not stop. While Italy burns from North to South we are preparing to enter the hottest week of the whole year. Not good news for the many Italians who, due to the crisis, won't have the opportunity to migrate to cooler shores. Temperatures are close to 35 degrees in many cities and will even exceed 40 degrees during the week. The advice of the Civil Protection offers a recipe against the suffocating heat, useful for the people most exposed to the risks entailed by the August heatwave: wear light and light-colored clothes, avoid exposing yourself to the sun for too long, have a hearty breakfast and avoid the sumptuous table. For the more sporty, the advice is to postpone jogging until the evening hours or early morning hours.

But it's not just people who will suffer from the heat. Coldiretti has sounded the alarm for crops, estimating that the drought has caused losses of half a billion to the agricultural sector. The farmers' association has announced that there are grounds for requesting a state of natural disaster.
