A noticeable increase in temperatures is coming, even over 40 degrees due to the African anticyclone. The Ministry of Health has made a guide available to citizens with indications for facing the next few days.

Il Ministry of Health stated that well sedici Italian cities will be marked with the red dot tomorrow and Wednesday, with temperatures that will exceed 40 degrees. The most intense heat wave of 2017 will involve Rome, Frosinone, Pescara and Campobasso on Tuesday and then arrive in Bari on Wednesday; Bologna; Bozen; Brescia; Cagliari; Florence; Latin; Milan; Naples; Perugia; Rieti and Viterbo. 

For Florence has been declared the orange bulletin starting tomorrow when you can feel up to 47 degrees. On the other hand, 41 degrees in the shade are forecast for Wednesday. The Municipality renews the recommendations especially for the elderly, but also for children and heart patients, in particular to limit outdoor activities.

To Venice, the civil protection has declared that the physical discomfort in the next two days it will be intense throughout the Region and the air quality will be poor everywhere except in the mountainous areas where it will be good and moderate.

From the green level to the red level, a series of are indicated preventive safeguards :

-The green stamp, or meteorological conditions that do not pose health risks, requires only a daily consultation of the Bulletin of the respective city, attention to the maintenance of the air conditioners, a light diet and proper conservation of perishable foods due to the risk of proliferation of pathogenic germs.

-The yellow stamp, is a warning for the following days when risky heat waves are likely to occur. Consultation of the Bulletin and of the assistance services of the respective territory is required. It is advisable to plan supplies of water, food and medicines and greater attention to the elderly

-The orange stamp, indicates the actual risk to health in particular for the most susceptible part of the population. Beyond the daily consultation of the Bulletin, it is advisable to avoid direct exposure to the sun during the hottest hours and areas with traffic or where there are high ozone values ​​(parks and green areas). Intense physical activity in the open air is not recommended, while it would be advisable to spend most of the time in cool or air-conditioned places, often bathing in fresh water. We suggest fresh clothing and a light diet. In the case of taking medicines, for any adjustments, you should consult your doctor and you should pay attention to the conservation of medicines. In case of heat-related symptoms, a doctor should be contacted.

-The red dot, indicates the real emergency condition with possible negative effects on the health of even healthy and active people. The risks are related proportionally to the duration of the heat wave. The indications are the same as those envisaged for the orange bulletin, with additional attention to non-self-sufficient people and towards the food lifestyle. Sick or bedridden people should not be covered too much.
