Alitalia: more flights to Sicily and Sardinia

From 11 June Alitalia will increase connections to and from the islands – 5 flights a day between Milan, Catania and Palermo, 10 between Rome Catania and Rome – 6 flights a day between Milan and Cagliari, 8 between Rome and Cagliari

Alitalia: more flights to Sicily and Sardinia

Alitalia increases the number of flights to and from Sicily and Sardinia. The airline communicates it through a note. From Thursday 11 June the territorial continuity services from Milan to Cagliari will increase, while from Saturday the connections from Milan to Catania and Palermo will double. 

Starting 15 June, however, further flights will be added in the section connecting Rome and the two Sicilian airports and the number of Rome-Cagliari connections in Territorial Continuity will also be increased.  

Going into detail, the Milan-Catania and Milan-Palermo flights they will rise from 2 to 4 per day. On trafficking Rome-Catania it will go from 8 to 10 flights a day, as well as on Rome Palermo

Territorial continuity services between Milan and Cagliari they will increase from 4 to 6 per day and flights between Rome and Cagliari will increase from 6 to 8 per day.

With regard to the Sicilia, "on the routes between Milan and Sicily, Alitalia will add to the already operational connections a flight to Catania which will depart at 17:00 and one to Palermo (also scheduled for 17:00), while the additional connections to Milan will take off from Catania at 20:50 and from Palermo at 20:40. The additional services from Rome to Sicily will leave at 9:50 (for Catania) and at 8:40 (for Palermo). Additional flights to Rome will take off at 11:55 (from Catania) and 10:30 (from Palermo). Fares for connections from Sicily start at €30 (one way, airport taxes and hand luggage included)," Alitalia said in a note.

Turning instead to the Sardinia the additional flights to Cagliari will depart at 8.15 from Milan and at 18.30 from Rome. From Cagliari instead the take-off will be at 11.40 for Milan and at 20.20 for Rome. “The tariffs for flights in Territorial Continuity, established by the relevant Call for Proposals, as already underway, follow two different schemes in the period from 15 June to 15 September, one for residents and the other for non-residents of the island. From 16 September to 24 October, a single tariff will be in force for residents and non-residents of Sardinia”, explains Alitalia.

In compliance with the safety rules, flights will depart with limited aircraft capacity, and the sanitation of the planes will be carried out every day with highly sanitizing products. On board the air is 99,7% pure as in a sterile room.
