Alitalia, Lupi: no foreclosures if Air France goes up

Alitalia, Lupi: no foreclosures if Air France goes up

"I told the French Government that there is no foreclosure on the part of the Italian Government in the event that Air France decides to increase its stake in Alitalia". Transport Minister Maurizio Lupi said this after the meeting with his French counterpart Frederic Cuvillier in Paris.

The Minister added that there are two conditions: the first concerns the strategic nature of Alitalia as an international carrier and the second refers to employment. "We will monitor" he concluded.
