Alitalia, the Arab Etihad denies interest: "We aim at the Indian Jet Airways"

Alitalia is not currently among the priorities of the Arab airline Etihad. James Hogan, CEO of Etihad, said this in a statement released to AFP, which underlined how the United Arab Emirates company is currently focused on the Indian carrier Jet Airways.

Responding to a question on the possibility of investing in Alitalia, Hogan replied: “For the moment I am focused on India, on our operations in India. We have a strong relationship with Alitalia. We look at many companies, but our priority is Jet Airways." He therefore takes shape the indiscretion published by Bloomberg according to which Air France will take over Alitalia from mid-October onwards, deciding on the matter during a board of directors meeting called for next Monday.
